Howie Pearson

Mr. Pearson received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1976 and his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law where he was Order of the Coif and managing editor of the Utah Law Review.  Mr. Pearson practices on all aspects of estate and charitable planning, trust, will, probate and gift matters, including sophisticated estate, gift and income tax planning, preparation of all documents to implement planning ideas, and probate and trust administration.

 Mr. Pearson is currently the Senior Philanthropic Advisor and Development Legal Counsel in the Office of Development at Stanford University.  He also teaches estate planning in the law school.  Mr. Pearson was a partner with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison from 1987-1995 and an associate of the firm from 1980-1987.  He also clerked for the Honorable Aldon J. Anderson, United States district Court, 1979-1980.

 Mr. Pearson is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust an an editor of Matthew Bender’s California Probate Practice.
